Brey-Krause Harness Bars - The Mini Cooper harness mount bar is an entirely new design. By making extensive use of water-jet machined sections and unique geometry, the R-1305 is our strongest and lightest harness bar of this configuration. It is also the only harness mount currently available for the Mini Cooper.

The R-1305 is a bolt-in part that requires no drilling, cutting or fabrication. It can be easily removed to allow use of the rear seat area for daily driving. The lower seat cushion can remain while the bar is installed to satisfy sanctioning bodies for autocross.

The R-1305 been tested and certified by an independent lab to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT and SAE J385 Rev.MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements. This harness mount bar properly locates and supports racing shoulder harnesses relative to the driver. In the case of an accident, it helps protect the driver's shoulders and spine. The harness guides also prevent excessive shifting and fatigue of the driver during the high G loads of cornering and braking.
