I've tried a lot of different brake kits on the Honda S2000, including Wilwoods, etc... While some stop better without ABS, none of the tuner kits work as well as factory with ABS with exception of one. Read On. First some math (I could bore you with more, but lets keep it simple) A = pi  r^2 Note, in 4 piston calipers area is determined by the pistons on only one side of the caliper. Stock front: 1 X 2 1/8

Stock front: 1 X 2 1/8" diameter piston = 3.546 sq" Stock rear: 1 X 1.575" diameter piston = 1.948 sq" Stock diagonal circuit piston area = 3.546 sq" + 1.948 sq" = 5.494 sq" What does all this Mean? The ABS circuit, when activated, is calibrated to the specific volume of the stock calipers. Change that volume and you effect the ABS drastically. I recently tried the Wilwood six pistion setup. Worked great, right up to the point the ABS kicked in. Then no brakes. Why? The Wilwoods needed slightly more fluid in order to keep the brakes at the maximum . So the magic volume from above is 3.546 sq" from above. Converting this to a 4 piston caliper results in the following: 1.5" diameter 4 piston = 3.53 sq" or 36/40mm staggered pistons = 3.53 sq" The staggered pistons will created even pad wear. The 4 piston Wilwood kits on the market use either 1.375 or 1.75" pistons. Brembo use 36/40mm staggered pistons."
